Finding the best child care in Miami can be a daunting task. Many daycares in Miami promise something other than what they actually provide. Unique Kids Childcare is truly unique. We provide a social environment in which your child learns how to understand and strengthen relationships. In our goal to be the top child care in Miami, we work daily on creating an environment that builds on an intellectual basis to involve your child in appropriate experiences to enhance discovery, communication, conceptualization, and creativity.
When researching daycares in Miami, ask the following:
-
Does the child care center offer excellent child to staff ratios?
-
Is advanced curriculum available?
-
Is the entire staff CPR/First Aid Certified?
-
Is there an appropriate outside fenced-in play area?
-
Are the teachers actually teaching your child?
-
Is the facility clean and does the staff practice good hand washing?
Unique Kids Childcare provide all of the above and more! Learn more about our child care in Miami below:
Registration:
Every child registered at Unique Kids Childcare is required to have a copy of his/her State of Florida Department of Children and Families student’s health examination form and immunization record on file at all times. It is the parent’s responsibility to keep it updated.
Medical Policies:
Medicine will be accepted and given to the child only if the doctor’s name and instructions are on the label. A medicine consent form provided by the center must be signed by the parent on a weekly base prior to dispersion authorizing our Childcare to administer medication to the child. If a child becomes ill while in my care or experiences any symptoms mentioned below, the child will be isolated from the rest of the children and parent/guardian will be contacted to pick up the child as soon as possible. If there is an emergency, the paramedics will be called in and your child will be transported to the nearest hospital by ambulance and the Director or Assistant will escort your child and oversee him/her until a parent arrives.
Please make sure to write down all known allergies to foods and medication on the enrollment form. In case of am emergency the child’s file will be transported with him/her to the hospital. This gives the doctors authorization to treat your child and some knowledge of the child to see if he/she is allergic to any kind of medication.
For the safety of other children Unique Kids Childcare will not accept a child who is running a fever, vomiting, has heavy nasal discharge, diarrhea, severe rash or any child who has been diagnosed with a contagious disease.
Accident and Incident Reports:
Unique Kids makes every effort to ensure the safety of the schools environment and protection of our students. In the event of a minor accident your child’s teacher will inform the director and administer the necessary aid to the affected area. In addition, the teacher will fill out and incident report stating what happened and the parent will be notified at the time of pick-up and asked to sign the report. In the event there is an accident of a more serious nature every effort will be made to contact the parent or listed emergency contacts right away.
Dress Code:
It is mandatory for all enrolled children to where uniforms which can be purchased at Ibiley. If you prefer to purchase the uniform elsewhere the color is a teal top and navy blue bottoms.
